OT (Occupational Therapist)

Julie completed a Master of Occupational Therapy at the University of Canberra, with a demonstrated commitment to paediatric occupational therapy. She has professional experience working with paediatric clients from ages 2-18 years, as well as adolescent and young adults, with a variety of diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, intellectually disability, Sensory Processing difficulties and Global Developmental Delay. She also has lived experience as a parent/carer and in advocacy roles. Julie specialises in delivering a comprehensive service that focuses on child, family, and occupation-centred approaches. She uses evidence-based strategies to assist clients in developing their fine and gross motor skills, emotional regulation abilities, social skills, and independence when completing self-care tasks. Julie’s strength is her commitment to helping clients to achieve their goals, with care and respect. She uses a “parent coaching” model to help support clients beyond the clinic space. Julie is trained in the Occupational Performance Coaching model, SoSAFE! ® Visual and Conceptual tools for social skills, trauma informed therapy and is accredited to administer the “Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development (4th ed)” assessment. Julie is taking new patients and currently has a short waitlist. She can see self- managed/ plan managed NDIS clients as well as private and Medicare funded clients.
